After Jesus and His disciples had eaten the Passover meal, they went out into a garden to pray. Jesus asked God, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
He was saying that He was willing to follow God’s plan even to death. As Jesus was praying, His disciples kept falling asleep. Soon, Judas arrived with soldiers to arrest Jesus. Judas showed the soldiers which person to arrest by kissing Jesus’ cheek.

Dear Jesus,
thank you for being willing to follow God's plan, even though You knew that meant punishment and death for You.
Amen.
