As Jesus and His disciples were taking the Passover meal, Jesus took the bread and blessed it, broke it, and gave it to them. He said to His disciples, "Take, eat; this is my body."
In the same way, He took the cup and after blessing it, He said, "Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

Main Point: Jesus institutes the Lord's Supper.

When we take the Lord's Supper as a church, we should always pause and remember the sacrificial work of Jesus. We should remember how His body was broken and how His blood was shed to cover our sins.
