1. Which part of the message stood out to you the most? How has that challenged the way you think about the grace of God and reaching people?

2. Who are you? John 1:23 says, 23John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet,“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.” Who are you? Would you consider yourself just a voice pointing people to Jesus? Why or why not? What things in this world distract us from this simple mission? The Old Testament prophet declared in Isaiah 40:3 “to make straight the way for the Lord” as the Jews left captivity from Babylon. Today, describe your calling to tear down the obstacles and make a level path for others to find freedom found in Jesus? How do we live this out in every day life?

3. John 1:29 says, "29The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! Describe what it means that Jesus is the “Lamb of God? Pastor Sean described Jesus our Savior who unprotested His suffering and sacrifice on our behalf. What words come to mind when you consider all the Lamb has done for you on the cross? How can you better point out the Lamb of God to others?

4. Why should you be baptized? John 1:33-34 says, "33And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.” If you have been baptized what is you baptism story? If you have not been baptized what is stopping you from taking that step?

5. Pastor Sean said, “The moment John met Jesus was so powerful that he never forget the exact time of day even though it was sixty years later." John 1:39 says, ““Come,” he replied, “and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about
four in the afternoon. Describe how powerful the grace of God poured over you when you meet Jesus? How willing are you to be used by God and lift your voice and give others a moment in time that changes their eternity? What would have to change to be more vocal with the Gospel?

6. When Andrew first met Jesus the Bible says he found Simon and “he brought him to Jesus.” When we are faithful to lift our voice and humbly point people to Jesus they find life and go and find lost people in their lives. Pastor Sean said, when people meet Jesus they don’t come back alone.” Who do you need to point to Jesus? How does it make you feel knowing that your voice can bring not just one person to Jesus, but likely bring generations to Jesus? Stop and pray and humble ourselves as less than slaves - unworthy to follow Jesus, but by His grace we lift our voice to lost and dying generation.
