Use this space to take your general notes during the message.
We are continuing to go through the "I Am" statements of Jesus in our series called "Everyday Jesus". This week we focus our attention on what Jesus meant when He said "I Am the Way, the Truth, the Life”.
We know that the world we live in is suspicious and in constant search for evidence and support. Read John 8:56-58 (NLT). Why did those listening to Jesus become so angry by what he was saying?

John 8:56-58

Read John 14:6 (NIV). By saying "I Am the Way", Jesus was saying that in order to access God, we must go through Him. This is not a directional statement, but rather a relational one. In what ways can we get to know Jesus better?

John 14:6

Pastor Jonathan put it this way, "There is 1 Way to God but many ways to Jesus". What (Who) is the one way to God? How have you seen God use things in our lives, situations or others around us to bring people closer to Jesus?
In this verse from the Book of John, Jesus also says "I Am the Truth". This is foundational, it's how we get to know God. In what ways can you look for the truth about Jesus and get to know God better?
The third and final part of Jesus' statement is, "I Am the Life". This is how we experience God and Pastor Jonathan reminded us that it's how life works best. Have you seen this to be true in your life or in the life of someone you know? If so, in what ways?
Some people find this statement to be clarifying and life-giving, while others find it to be restrictive. How would you describe yourself? In what ways can Christians help open the door to Jesus for those that are far from Him?
Given this truth, that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, what are your next steps on your faith journey? Lift these steps up to our Heavenly Father in prayer and ask for His help.
