GROUP DISCUSSION
1. Have you ever been in a situation where you thought, “If I only had more money this problem would be okay”? What did it feel like to be in this situation, and what was the end result? If you are comfortable, share about a time this happened and how you responded or handled it.
2. If you look at the world today, it appears to be so ruled by greed and the love of money. Do you think this has had a positive or negative impact on our society and why?
3. Imagine a world where the love of money did not exist. What would this place look like and feel like, and how would people behave? In your own
words, describe this place. Does it reflect any biblical qualities? Explain.
4. What are some of the characteristics of the “love of money”?
5. The Bible talks about how the love of money is the root of all evil. Why do you think that is? What are some of the things that can help us resist the spirit of mammon and submit our money to righteous, eternal purposes? Give examples.
7. Read Luke 6:10. What are some of the “small things” that we can be faithful stewards of? Name one or two important attributes of someone who is a good steward. How can we better reflect these qualities in our lives? Share.
