UN-POPULAR OPINION

This generation wants us to fight for them.
1. Pray for this generation.

• Pray for them to fear and reverence God.
(Psalm 34:11 NLT) Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the LORD.

• Pray for God to bring them divine favor.
(Psalm 5:12 NIV) Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

• Pray for God to bring them Godly friends.
(Proverbs 27:17 NLT) As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
2. Prioritize Church.
(Luke 4:16 NIV) ... on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. ...

There is a difference between what we say are our priorities AND what we demonstrate are our priorities.

• If its truly a priority, it happens.

(Hebrews 10:23-25 MSG) ... Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.
• Commitment doesn't hinge on your mood.

(Deuteronomy 32:4 NLT) He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!
3. Participate.

be an EXAMPLE
be AVAILABLE
be ENCOURAGING

(2 Timothy 3:14 NLT) But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.
1. You're God's highest priority.
(1 John 3:16 NLT) We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. ...

(Luke 15:4 NLT) "If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?
2. God's always in pursuit.
(Revelation 3:20 NLT) "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.
3. A place to belong.
(Romans 8:1 NLT) So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

(1 Peter 2:9 NLT) ... you are a chosen people. ... God's very own possession. ...
4. A place of protection.
(Psalm 91:3 NLT) For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.

(Psalm 91:11 NLT) For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
(Psalm 91:14 NLT) The LORD says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
5. A path to be restored.

(1 Timothy 2:3-4 NLT) God our savior who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
