Jesus shows them people who have been rejecting God for years without realizing or acknowledging it.
The walls we build between ourselves and God:
1) Intellectual - “You didn’t give me enough evidence.”
1) Intellectual - “You didn’t give me enough evidence.”
2) Spiritual Stand Ins - "I believe in Love."
3) Relational Bubbles - "My friends and I are doing just fine."
4) Lifestyle as LifePurpose - "The Five Year Plan"
5) Distractions....
Jesus shows that they did this for the simplest of reasons... ownership.
Jesus reminds them of the most important truth of all, that God has been pursuing them all along.
