We aren’t the first generation to DECIDE BETWEEN FAITH in God AND FEAR of a KING or Culture!
Our Battles are fought and won by GOD from your knees!
GOD USES ORDINARY IMPERFECT FALLEN BROKEN PEOPLE TO ACCOMPLISH EXTRAORDINARY WORKS OF GOD!
THE CROSS QUALIFIES YOU TO BREAK THE LIMITS AND MOVE INTO UNCHARTED WATER - TO LIVE A TRANSCENDED LIFE NO MATTER YOUR PAST.
THAT'S TRANSCENDENCE! YOU LOOKED SO MUCH LIKE HEAVEN THAT EARTH WASN'T WORTHY OF YOUR LIFE.
EVERYTHING HAS COME TOGETHER FOR THIS MOMENT IN TIME THAT WE CAN KNOW JESUS AND MAKE HIM KNOWN!
THE WORLD NEEDS FAITH FILLED MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD!
Talk It Over
1. Pastor Sean said, there is a huge difference between faith and belief - that you can believe intellectually but without any obedience. Would you consider yourself more a person of believe or faith and why?Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” How would you rate your personal faith level on a scale red, orange, yellow, or green? What would it look like for you to earnestly seek God beyond your current limits?
2. Hebrews 11:4 says, Even if your faith cost you your life...... YOUR
VOICE… VOICE OF JUSTICE STILL SPEAKS…..CRIES OUT to GOD!!
3. Have you been around someone of great faith? Describe what stood out to you most about their life? Pastor Sean described these people as those who transcended their culture. They rose above and went beyond the range or limits. Lean into the voice of God and describe what do you think it would take to be a person of great faith? What first step can you take today?
4. In Hebrews 11:23 Moses stood up without fear of the King. Pastor Sean said, "We aren’t the first generation to decide between faith in God or fear of a King or culture.” What fear is holding you back from the faith you know God ask of you? What would it take to go beyond the limits of your current faith to overcome your fear?
5. 2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Hebrews chapter 11 concludes that we are a part of the completion of the promises of God. In other words, everything came together for this exact moment in time for us to know God. Ho does that make you feel? Also, everything came together for us to make God known. We are called to transcend in our culture. What legacy to you believe God is calling you to leave? How bold are you willing to go with you faith to break the limits and lead in our generation? Give an example of how your faith can be used today.
