Happy New Year! New Year’s Day begins with many different traditions. Distinct cultures believe the 1st day of the year should start off with certain foods or even certain clothing.
Filipinos believe in wearing clothing with Polka dots. Spain celebrates with 12 white grapes. Here, in the South, a traditional meal consists of black-eyed peas, collard greens and cornbread.

The common theme is prosperity and good fortune. The Bible tells us that God crowns the year with goodness and our paths will drip with abundance! Acknowledging the goodness, mercy, protection, health, patience, and love emanating from the Lord for this new year is supreme! He is the ultimate catalyst for New Beginnings.
