The Gift of Salvation - Part 2
Foundation Scripture: Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJV)
The Gift of Salvation - Part 2
Foundation Scripture: Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJV)
In the days we’re living in with the challenges we face as Christians, it would do us good to consider the wonderful benefits we have in receiving this free gift called salvation. In light of these wonderful benefits, our explanation of salvation should be exciting when we are explaining salvation to a friend, relative, or co-worker.
6. Some benefits of receiving this gift.
a) Acceptance
o Ephesians 1:6 NKJV reads “He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
The wonder of it is that God sees the believer “in Christ.”
It also means that the believer is welcomed in God’s presence as long as Christ is welcome, and that is forever.
b) At salvation, you immediately become a child of God.
How Great is that! Think about it, would you not feel honored if you were the child of a great world leader?
One day everyone will bow to God and confess that Jesus is Lord.
One day everyone will bow to God and confess that Jesus is Lord.
c) Justification. At salvation, we are justified.
How great is it that the believer will never come into condemnation but has passed from death into life.
Conclusion
A. Presentation: We are to present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice. (Verse 1)
B. Separation: We are to avoid conforming to the world’s ways. (Verse 2)
C. Transformation: We are to renew our minds and thus change our lives. (Verse 2)
D. Demonstration: We are to prove we belong to God by doing His will. (Verse 2)
