Give Thanks: Thankful for God's Peace

Peace is a precious thing. Some define peace as an absence of conflict. However, peace is more than that. The Jewish people use the word shalom to define peace. Shalom means a total state of ease, free from stress, strife, and conflict. It is a word picture of a child held in a mother’s arms. They use this word as a greeting and has a departing blessing. Peace is a good thing. We want peace in our relationships, in our community, and in the world. The good news is that God want to give you his peace.
