I wonder how it ever got that far.

There are 3 types of people. Those that are:
1. Friends with the world and know it.
2. Friends with the world and don't know it.
3. Friends with God.

Talk It Over

1. What stuck out to you the most about the message? What was God saying to you?

2. James 4:4 says, "You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship, with the world is hostility towards God, therefore, whoever wishes to be a friends of the world, makes himself an enemy of God.” What are some habits that we can have that makes us friends with the world? Which one can you be the most guilty of at times?

3. Dan said, it’s easy to think that we are stronger than those things the Bible warns us about and that it’s a dangerous place to decide what’s a safe distance from sin. How true do you find those comments in your own life? What are the key ingredients to becoming friends with God? Which one are you the best at and why?

4. Read James 4:14-17. Life is short and is meant to be lived for Jesus. With everything the word offers us and offered Dan, Dan said this, “The most fulfilling things in life came when you are acting in the will of God.” Share how God has shifted you from being friends with the world to friends with Jesus. Compare how fulfilling the things of the world satisfy compared the riches of Christ? What advice would you say to someone who is stuck in world, but wants to become friends with God?
