PRINCIPLES OF FINANCIAL PEACE:
1. Get on a budget. Make a plan for what you are stewarding.
Luke 14:28 – “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
Luke 16:10-11 – “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?”
2. Get out of debt and stay out of debt.
Proverbs 22:7 – “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.”
3. Build quality relationships.
1 Corinthians 15:33 – “Bad company corrupts good habits.”
4. Save and invest money.
Proverbs 21:20 – “The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.”
5. Give.
2 Corinthians 9:7 – “God loves a cheerful giver.”
Malachi 3:10 – “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
