◾️ We’ve all read books, heard messages, followed steps to try to change something about ourselves. Yet, so often we find ourselves right back where we started…sometimes even worse off. How can we become better versions of ourselves - and make changes that truly last - changes that let us become who God created us to be? ME TRANSFORMED is a series that zeroes in on the KEY to being fully transformed through our walk with Jesus: our minds.

How To Transform My Culture Into A Jesus Culture

37 When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. 38 Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. 39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!” 40 Then Jesus answered his thoughts. “Simon,” he said to the Pharisee, “I have something to say to you.” “Go ahead, Teacher,” Simon replied.

41 Then Jesus told him this story: “A man loaned money to two people—500 pieces of silver to one and 50 pieces to the other. 42 But neither of them could repay him, so he kindly forgave them both, canceling their debts.

Who do you suppose loved him more after that?” 43 Simon answered, “I suppose the one for whom he canceled the larger debt.”
“That’s right,” Jesus said. 44 Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume. 47 “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” 48 Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.”
49 The men at the table said among themselves, “Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?” 50 And Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Luke 7:37-50 (NLT)

Paul: “We can understand these things, because we have the mind of Christ!” 1 Corinthians 2:16 (NLT)

“In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5 (NCV)

9 Characteristics Of A Jesus Culture: (Quotes from Jesus)
1. I KNOW EXACTLY WHO I AM.

Jesus:
“I am: ...the Bread of Life…” John 6:35
“the Light of the world…” John 8:12
“the Good Shepherd…” John 10:11
“the Resurrection and the Life…” John 11:25
“the Way, the Truth and the Life…” John 14:6
“ the True Vine… John 15:1
the Son of God… Mark 14:61-62

2. I KNOW GOD’S PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE.

“…I know where I came from and where I am going.” John 8:14 (NIV)

Jesus at age 12: “I must be about My Father’s business.” Luke 2:49 (KJV)

“I must proclaim the Good News about God’s kingdom, for I was sent for this purpose.” Luke 4:43 (RSV)

“I am not alone because the Father is always with Me.” John 16:32

“Jesus often slipped away to be alone so He could pray.” Luke 5:15-16 (NCV)

4. I LET GOD HELP ME CHOOSE MY WORDS.

“I have not spoken on My own. Instead, the Father who sent Me tells Me what I should say and how I should say it.” John 12:49 (GW)

5. I DON’T WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO PLEASE EVERYONE.

“I only try to please the One who sent Me.” John 5:30 (NCV)

6. I FORGIVE MY ENEMIES AND THOSE WHO HURT ME.

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 (NIV)

7. I AM WILLING TO SACRIFICE FOR OTHERS.

“I am the good shepherd…and I lay down My life for the sheep.” John 10:14-15 (NLT)

“I came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give My life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

8. I WANT TO DO GOD’S WILL, NOT MINE.

“I came…to do what God wants Me to do, not what I want to do.” John 6:38 (NCV)
