Talk It Over

1. What stuck out to you the most about the message? What was God saying to you?

2. Read Ephesians 4:7-8. How does it make you feel knowing that God has uniquely gifted you? Ephesians 4:11 says, “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers .” Out of the five gifts, what do you believe is your dominant gift and why? If you are unsure discuss this in your Life Group or with a trusted friend.

3. Pastor Sean said, “We should be professionals at using our God-given gifts.” which is 10,000 hrs of use. Can anyone describe what it is like to watch a professional do their trade or gift?

4. The gift wasn’t given for you, but for others. God is counting on you to use the gift He has given you. How does it feel knowing there are people waiting to be blessed, encouraged, directed, discipled, cared for, welcomed, loved, saved, taught, lead, prayed for, believed in, helped, sent, and the list goes on because you used your gift?

5. Are you willing to discover your gift(s)? One of the best tools to do so is an assessment called the SHAPE Assessment. It helps you discover your Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences to not only see your gifting, but the potential ways you could use that gift.
