This is the last week of our Why We Do What We Do series and today we are going to discuss why we invite others.
Think about the last time that you were really excited about something. Maybe it was a new restaurant or experience. Were you excited to share this information with people in your life? If so, why?
What would it look like if we were so excited about church that we could not wait to share and invite everyone we know?
Faith is personal but not private. The mission of Jesus has always been spread person to person. We see this with Jesus’ Disciples. Read John 4: 39-42 and discuss this scripture.
Read Luke 14:15-24. Why is it so easy for us to make excuses? What does it mean to invite anyone and everyone?
When it came to inviting, the 1st century Church relied heavily on word of mouth. Today, we have many other resources at our disposal. In what ways do you see technology and social media making this easier?
When looking for an opportunity to invite, Pastor Jonathan gave us 3 things to listen out for. When you read these, does anyone come to mind? Maybe they are waiting on you to invite them.
New: to the area or neighborhood
Life Transition: life's big moments both good and bad
Problem: in crisis, tragedy, or pain

Why is this important? Because Jesus invited everyone and He wants to do this through us. Pray as a group. Ask God to show you the people in your life that may need or may be waiting on an invitation.
Pastor Jonathan shared that 75% of people are at The Summit because of an invite. You never know the impact that an invite will have on someone's life. Share your Summit invite story with the group.
