Ice Breaker: Share about a time when you were served by others. What impact did this have on you?

Jesus served and He commanded us to do the same. Read John 13:14-15 together and discuss the example that Jesus has set for us.

Serving is about Love. After washing the disciple's feet, Jesus took it a step further. He challenged them to do the same for others. Read John 13:34 together. Discuss the phrase Love First. How is it reflected in this scripture and how does it apply to us?

Serving helps us Grow. When we serve others, we change and mature. Share about a time in your life when serving others brought blessings into your own life. Read John 13:17.

Serving brings true Greatness. However, Pastor Jonathan reminded us that greatness looks different in The Kingdom of God. It is not always glamorous. Oftentimes, we don't even know the names of some of the greatest people in history, but this does not make them any less great. Read Matthew 20:25-28 and discuss Jesus' definition of greatness.

Pastor Jonathan reminded us that here At The Summit, everyone can serve somewhere. It may be volunteering at the church, daily moments in our everyday lives, or within our community. There is a place for everyone! Take some time as a group and discuss these options. Where do you feel inspired to serve at this time?
