Beatitudes show us:
1. Points to only source of TRUE HAPPINESS.

2. God always has MORE.
(Matthew 5:4 NLT) God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
• You can have HAPPINESS even on the WORST DAYS because you'll experience PROVISION, PURPOSE & PRESENCE of God.
• Our assumption is that BAD THINGS shouldn't happen to GOOD PEOPLE.

(Hebrews 11:35-40 NIV) ... There were others who were tortured, ... They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated-- These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better ...
1. You don't want to play the FAIR GAME.

Fair means we pay for our own SIN.

(2 Timothy 4:18 NIV) The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.
2. You think BAD DAYS always means I messed up.

(James 1:2-4 NIV) Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
(1 Peter 6-7 MSG) 'I know how great this makes you feel, even though you have to put up with every kind of aggravation in the meantime. Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine. When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.
3. You think you know what's BEST.

(Isaiah 55:8-9 MSG) '“I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.

(Isaiah 57:1 NLT) Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. ... No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.

(Psalm 34:18 MSG) 'If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. '
(2 Corinthians 1:9-11 NLT) In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us. And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.
1. Keep your eyes on what's going on IN ME not TO ME.

(2 Corinthians 1:9 NIV) ... But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

• Your bad day can either be the mud you get stuck in or the FUEL for your #ONEstep.
2. Keep your mind on God always RESCUES.

(2 Corinthians 1:10 NLT) ... he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

• In your bad day remember God's PAST FAITHFULNESS as peace in His current work.
3. Lean on YOUR GROUP.

(2 Corinthians 1:11 NLT) ... you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.
