The people with the reputation for being close to God did nothing to help.
They didn’t remember that...
The Lord sees past our excuses, because He sees our hearts.
1 Samuel 16:7 ESV
The Jews viewed Samaritans as people ignorant of God.
The Samaritan felt compassion for him.
This compassion caused the Samaritan to take action.
Actions that cost him:
• He touched him
• He used his oil and his wine
• He now walked
• He took care of him
• Two days wages
• "Whatever more you spend"
WHAT does this parable tell us to do?
Have compassion on our neighbor and take action to help them.
