God did not create you for the NORMAL LIFE!
HOW TO BREAK FREE FROM THE STATUS QUO?
The presence of God’s presence - CHANGES EVERYTHING!
The Kingdom of God is lead by men and women DESIRING TO BE FULLY CONSUMED IN GOD’S PRESENCE!
The Kingdom of God is lead by men and women DESIRING TO BE FULLY CONSUMED IN GOD’S PRESENCE!
God’s Presence Must Increase and I MUST DECREASE!!
Satans #1 tactic holding us in our NORMAL Status Quo LIFE…… is SHAME!
HOW DOES GOD BRAKE THE SHAME & THE STATUS QUO…….AND WE ENTER INTO HIS FULL PRESENCE?
A.W. Tozer
“Their is an opaque veil of self that hides that face of God from us. It can only be removed by a spiritual experience, never by mere instructions.”

“Their is an opaque veil of self that hides that face of God from us. It can only be removed by a spiritual experience, never by mere instructions.”
You have to taste and see for yourself that the Lord is Good.
The degree you enter in God’s presence DETERMINES YOUR DAYS!
“GOD I HEAR YOU KNOCKING AND I’M INVITING YOUR PRESENCE TO DINE WITH ME.”
“GOD I HEAR YOU KNOCKING AND I’M INVITING YOUR PRESENCE TO DINE WITH ME.”
Talk It Over
1. What stuck out to you most about the message? What was God saying to you?
2. Would you say that you know God more positionally from a knowledge standpoint or would you say you know God more personally from being His presence?
3. John the Baptist said in John 3:29-30 “The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. How often do you wait and listen for Jesus? Would you say like John your joy is now complete? If so describe that joy and how you got it. If not so why do you think that is?
4. Pastor Sean shared his story of being saved by grace, but being held distant from God by shame. What stuck out to most about his story? Can you relate to his story? If so how? Pastor Sean also listed the wrong ways he dealt with shame - what Tozer called “Hypennated sins of the self life.” Out of the list of these identity shaping sins which one do you relate to the most and why?
- Self-Righteousness - Saved by grace but keep by works
- Self-Pity - I’m not good enough
- Self-Confidence - I’m strong enough to clean up my own mess.
- Self-Sufficiency - I can do this on my own.
- Self-Admiration - Look how good I am I can fix myself.
- Self-Love - I choose myself over God.
5. Revelation 3:19-20 says, “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. God desires for you to be in his full presence. Is there anything holding you back from opening the door to Jesus and dining with him? If so describe what that might be? If you regularly dine with Jesus describe the difference it’s made and what you personally see God doing and what He has said to you.
6. Spend time in prayer to God and start with these words, “God I hear you knocking and I’m opening the door to dine with me.”
