Discussion Questions
1. Revelation 5 is one of the highest points of worship in the entire Bible. From your notes on the message (Revelation 5), what stood out to you the most?
2. Sometimes believers reduce the good news of Jesus to merely individual salvation. God has a much grander plan that involves people from every tribe, language, people, and nation. In what ways does this grander plan stretch you? Encourage you? Motivate you?
3. Discuss the contrast between the kingly titles of Jesus (Lion of the tribe of Judah; Root of David) and the sacrificial title (Lamb who was slaughtered). Why was this contrast such a shocker to the first century world? How does it continue to challenge our notions of greatness and “worthiness” in the 21st century?
4. In Revelation 5, Jesus is presented as the perfect answer and ultimate remedy for all the world’s problems. How does this perspective cause you to readjust your approach to your own problems? The problems the world faces?
5. How is the way of the Lamb a path for you to follow in your family life? Friendships? Work experience? Community involvement? Neighbors–both bad and good?
6. How can your Life Group encourage each other this week as you gain a new perspective from Revelation 5?
7. How does Revelation 5 help you as you develop friendships, discover stories, and discern next step with your One Life?
8. Throughout the week, take time to give thanks and worship to the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb.
