Genesis 3:23
The Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.
Exodus 25:8-9
…have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
John 1:29
Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Revelation 21:3
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.’
What happens when I die?
Luke 23:43
I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.
2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
Philippians 1:21-24
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.
We will worship God.
Revelation 19:5-6
Then a voice came from the throne, saying: ‘Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, both small and great!’ Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.'
We will work (serve the Lord).
We will meet people.
We will continue to invest in our existing relationships.
We will be in the presence of God!
Revelation 21:3
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.’
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
We will receive our resurrection bodies.
1 Corinthians 15:42-44
The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
What we believe about eternity impacts how we live our lives now.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? Therefore honor God with your body.
Am I doing all I can to live a holy and righteous life? Am I living my life as an expression of God’s presence in this world?
John 14:6
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Admit you have sinned and that you need a savior. You can’t save yourself.
Believe Jesus died in your place and rose again—providing forgiveness for your sins.
Choose to turn to Jesus to rescue you from your sin by trusting in Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life.
