THE ONE WHO KNOWS THE MOST SHOULD DO MOST OF THE TALKING.
WHEN IT COMES TO PRAYER - WE NEED TO LEARN TO LISTEN.

LISTENING TO GOD:
THE PRINCIPLE OF CHAIR TIME.

YOU HAVE A CHAIR IN HEAVEN:
THE GOD OF THIS UNIVERSE WANTS TO TALK WITH YOU SO MUCH THAT HE HAS RESERVED A FRONT ROW SEAT FOR YOU AT HIS THRONE IN HEAVEN.
ONE PRACTICE:
SPEND 15 MINUTES A DAY FOR THE NEXT MONTH SITTING IN YOUR CHAIR WAITING FOR GOD TO SPEAK TO YOU.

Talk It Over
1. What stood our to you the most about the message? If you were to rate your prayer habit of listening to God on a scale of red, orange, yellow, green, what would you say and why? What would it take to move up one color closer to God?
2. Ephesians 2:6 says “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms with Christ Jesus.” Pastor Dan Southerland said, “The God of this universe wants to talk with you so much that He has reserved a front row seat for you at His throne in Heaven.” Describe how this truth hits you? If you were to share with a new believer the power of prayer and listening to God what would you say?
3. Pastor Dan reminded us that God wants to speak to us and we must be still to hear from God. What has God clearly been saying to you recently? Let’s put this into practice. Take 15 minutes today and sit in the chair to listen to what God has to say to you. Share your experience with your family and Life Group. If you don’t hear from God come back everyday and soon enough God will speak clearly to you. Be consistent and see how your relationship with God grows deeper over the next 30 days.
