The Church: The Bride of Christ
Betrothal was as _____________ as the marriage.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ came about as follows. After His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18
The bride groom is ___________.
He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. So, this joy of mine has been made full. John 3:29
The bride is the ____________.
“…as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.” Isaiah 62:5
God promises His people, “I will make you my wife forever, showing you righteousness and justice, unfailing love and compassion. 20 I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as Lord.” Hosea 2:19-20 (NLT)
As The Bride of Christ…

submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Ephesians 5:21-23
