Happy Mother’s Day from Real Life Church!

Regardless of how physically tired we are sometimes, It seems like too often we walk through life weary, anxious, and troubled about many things.

“So then turn your eyes upon Him, look full into His face and you will find that the things of earth will acquire a strange new dimness.”

1. Don’t Look Back

Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Jesus has truly paid it all and we have to start finding the healing we need in that.

Satan will do anything he can to get us to turn our eyes away from Jesus, so when you remember Lot’s wife, remember Don’t look back!

#2 Focus on Jesus

And the things of Earth will grow strangely dim.

In order to Focus on Jesus, we have to throw off everything that we need to release and only look to Him.

Dare to lay bare your whole life and being before Him, and ask Him to show you whether or not all is focused on Christ and His glory.

#3 Live in the Light

In the light of His glory and grace

Our sights and our focus are misdirected when we stay focused and longing on the things of this world, and the circumstances in our life

The truth is, you are longing for something that isn’t answered by what this world has to offer. You are longing for a perfect peace, a place with no more sadness, no more tears, no more sickness, no more pain. Jesus is getting that place ready for us.

His word shall not fail you he promised
Believe him and all will be well
Then go to a world that is dying
His perfect salvation to tell

Your greatest contribution to the Kingdom may not be something you do but someone you raise or pour your life into the cause of Christ.

TALK IT OVER

1. Read Isaiah 49:15-16. God loves you so much he has engraved you on the palms of his hands. What things do you need to throw off to fully embrace and live in the love of Christ?

2. Diane said, “Our sights and our focus are misdirected when we stay focused and longing on the things of this world, and the circumstances in our life!” List 2-3 things that are crowding your view so you can’t see Jesus. Identify the one that is capturing all of your focus. What are 1-2 action steps you can take this week to remove this?

3. Your greatest contribution to the kingdom will not be something, it will be someone. Think of 1-2 people you can pour your faith into this week and contact them today to let them know you are for them!


4. Listen to the song “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" and spend time focusing your thoughts on Jesus! Ask Him what things are holding you back from fully focusing on Him and His plans for your life.
