As a kingdom minded church, we believe that the ultimate fulfillment of our purpose is to be vessels of His grace; giving of ourselves just as He completely gave Himself up for us. The life of a Christ Follower is not about being a spectator for a couple of hours on Sunday. Rather, we open the flood gates of heaven when we sacrificially give of our talents and time.

https://thegrovechurchga.churchcenter.com/people/forms/217743The best way to understand the Apostles’ Creed is to dig into the Bible.
I have no intention of preaching the creed, but using the creed to preach the Bible.
I have no intention of preaching the creed, but using the creed to preach the Bible.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

In the Book of Acts there are roughly fifty-six references to the Holy Spirit.
Filled with the Spirit
Full of the Spirit
Baptized with the Holy Spirit
The gift of the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit coming “falling” upon them
Holy Spirit is spoken of as being “received.”
Non-Charismatic
That a Spirit-filled life is defined as a list of doctrines and a list of behaviors. We believe the doctrines, we do the behaviors, and we infer that we belong to God and that something supernatural is happening, but nobody experiences anything.
Charismatic
That a Spirit-filled life begins with the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a second experience, usually after conversion, marked by speaking in tongues.
I believe there is room for The Holy Spirit to show us truth, to teach so we can grow spiritually, and to give us ways, out of obedience, to live and model a Spirit-filled life.
You will not experience the fullness of the Gifts of the Spirt if you are not consistently producing the Fruit of the Spirit.
Does a Spirit-filled life have to begin with speaking in tongues?
Three times in the book of Acts we have the Holy Spirit mentioned with speaking in tongues.
Acts 2:4
Acts 10:44-47
Acts 19:6
I personally and we corporately at The Grove affirm all the “gifts of the Spirit” found in Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12 and 14, 1 Peter 4, and Ephesians 4.
What we do see throughout Acts is that a Spirit-filled life is to have a reality that one experiences, not just doctrinal facts or historical facts, which are affirmed with the mind.

be filled (plerousthe) - A literal translation of the verb would read something like "be being kept filled." The idea is one of keeping yourself constantly filled, as you yield moment by moment to the leading of the Spirit.
Filled (Pleroo) - has three shades of meaning that are helpful in illustrating the scriptural meaning of Spirit-filled. The first carries the idea of pressure, permeation, domination.
