Two words: GRACE and PEACE.
1. God MEETS you RIGHT WHERE you are.
2. Our TRIUNE God is more ASTOUNDING and INSPIRING than you can IMAGINE.
3. Jesus LOVES you and SETS you FREE.
4. Jesus CALLS us to the greatest and most GLORIOUS CAUSE.
5. Jesus is COMING in SPECTACULAR GLORY… and will BREAK HEARTS… for GOOD.
6. The Lord is EVERYTHING you will EVER NEED.

Discussion Questions

1. Tell us about a time when someone shared a word or phrase with you that surprised you (in a good way). How can even a single word or phrase make a major impact?

2. Looking over your notes, what’s something that’s intrigued, surprised, or stretched you at this point in our series in the Book of Revelation?

3. There are lots of words people might associate with Revelation. Read 1:4-8. Why are the words “grace” and “peace” surprising to some? In what ways does knowing God wants us to experience grace and peace help us?

4. Read 1 Peter 2:4-12. What can you learn about Jesus from this passage? Further, share the ways that God has called us to make a difference in this world. How do those truths impact your relationships? How does it impact the One Life whom God has placed in your path?

5. For 2000 years, the expectation of Jesus’ coming again has been the “blessed hope” of the church. How can this promise easily slip from our minds? In what ways can it encourage you?

6. Read verse 8. “God is all you need” can be a trite platitude or a life-changing reality. What does each name of God in this single verse tell us? What’s a practical takeaway for you this week from even one of these names?
