Are you what/where/who you are because of…

Does stuff just “happen”?
Do others “make it happen”?
Do you “make it happen”?

Are the answers to questions A and B different between followers and non-followers?

How much say do I really have in life and does it even truly matter?

Does that change over time?

We’re very quick to see and question the “flaw of injustice” when there may just be a MUCH bigger picture that God has painted.

Out of your control? In your control? In God’s control?

He doesn’t “fit in”…I do

Step 1: Submit
Submit yourselves, then, to God.

1) Recognize your position/situation with regard to sin
(Rom 3:23) - “…for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

2) Repent of your sin
(Acts 3:19) - “Repent, then and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

3) Realize that Jesus has taken care of that
(Rom 5:8) - “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

4) Receive Him and what He offers through confession of His Lordship
(Rom 10:9) - “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Step 2: Resist
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Step 3: Draw Near
Draw near to God and he will draw near to you

Step 4: Humble Yourselves
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Step 5: Seek His Will
If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.

SUBMIT, RESIST, DRAW NEAR, HUMBLE YOURSELF,
and SEEK HIS WILL
