The goal isn’t perfection; the goal has always simply been to be in the presence of GOD.
TALK IT OVER
1.On a scale of green, yellow, red, how would you rate your current practice of evangelism, inviting, and building redemptive relationships? Share about the last time you practiced evangelism. If you were to improve your evangelism, what one step would you take that would make the biggest difference?
2. Read Luke 15:11-32, which of the three people’s heart do you relate to the most: the young son, the father, or the oldest son and why? If you were gathered around Jesus in Luke 15:1-3, with tax collectors and sinners, what questions would you have asked or what statement would you have made about Jesus? How do you think He would have responded?
3. Pastor Sean said that that the goal isn’t perfection but being in the presence of God. If you have had the honor or leading someone else into the presence of God, describe what that is like and where that passion came from. Pastor Sean said the question we should all be asking ourselves is, “Who is lost? Who isn’t here?” Who in you life would be on those list? What next steps can you take this week to help them get into the presence of God?
