Last week we dove into: Jesus notices us and gives us hope
This week we are doing something a little different, we are going to share with you what we as a church are going to do moving forward and with that why we are deciding to do that.

When people see our logo what do they think?
This is what our culture believes about church: Devoted to going to church.
This is what God wants us to be: Devoted to being the church.
Today we are going to look at how the church started, what they did and how we are striving to be just like them.
Acts 2:40-41 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
Is our generation still crooked? If your answer is no, we need to have a conversation, How do you feel about the 10 commandments which I think most people agree with the morals of those. Do you think as a whole most people follow them. What about loving God above all things and loving your neighbor as yourself.
If it yes, well what are we supposed to do.
Acts 2:42-43 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul
What are we supposed to do in response to the crooked generation?
We must be devoted to: Apostles Teaching
Our response: D3 Groups and Sunday school
We must be devoted to: Fellowship and breaking bread
Our response: Life Groups and Church events
We must be devoted to: Prayer
Our response: Starting Point and Life groups
We want to inspire awe upon every soul
Acts 2:43-45 And many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
We must be devoted to: Togetherness and meeting needs
Our response: Life Groups
We are going to begin to share needs as a church and as individuals share needs
Acts 2:46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts
Come to church on Sundays! Going to the temple (Church) is just a part of being the church.
Remember to be thankful and generous:
Acts 2:47 Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
