CONVERSATION STARTERS
Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.

1. How’s e90 going? Share some updates about the people you are praying for.

2. When you came to faith in Jesus, in what ways did you experience a spiritual rebirth through Him?

3. Read John 3:3. Nicodemus would have been astounded that Jesus said you had to be born again to “‘see the kingdom of God”. Nicodemus thought that by simply being a Jew, he already saw it fully. Are you or were you ever confused by this verse?

4. When Jesus says, “so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life” (John. 3:14-15), what does He mean?

PRAYER PROMPT
Pray together for those on your e90 lists. Pray that they might have a spiritual rebirth through the Spirit. Pray that the Spirit would continue to elevate our capacity to see and participate in His kingdom by His Spirit.
Title: Nicodemus
Scripture: John 3:1-15
Speaker: Reid Kapple, ReidK@cckc.church
> Being born again is the only way to live
“There’s death and there’s death. Spiritually, says the Bible, we’re dead already. Physically we’re just catching up with reality. As my lifetime’s supply of heartbeats deplete one by one, I’m living out the death I was born into…‘Life’ and ‘death’ are far more than biological terms. [Scripture] is teaching what we feel intuitively – that there’s more to life than a functioning brainstem and there’s a death that’s deeper than a cardiac flat line. Beyond our physical existence there’s a death to be feared and a life to be sought.”
