• To yield to the possession or power of another.
• To yield or resign in favor of another.
When you surrender to Christ you experience victory.
• There must be recognition of God before surrender can occur (v.19)
• Obedience is a part of surrender (vs. 20-21)
• Surrendering will sort out what you value (v.22)
• Surrender doesn't mean lay down...it means follow (v.22)
• Who you are determines what you do (v.23)
• Jesus examination revealed what was of value regardless of any choices that were made (v.23)
• What we DO isn't enough
• Surrendering isn't easy (vs. 24-25)
• In face...sometimes surrendering seems impossible (v.26)
• With God...all things are possible (v.26)
• Others have surrendered (v.28)
• Surrender to Christ brings victory (v.29-20)
• Recognize that God is
• Understand that God's power and authority trump yours
• Let go of anything that you value more highly than God
• Learn that there is no higher place than being a servant of God's
• Pray and surrender yourself to Christ
• Begin to walk in the footsteps of Jesus
• Let yourself fall in love...
the surrendering gets easier!
