What is your struggle, when it comes to the season of life you’re in right now?
Moses was a man whose life was full of struggles.
Satan wants to warp your identity - rob you of the gifts, talent, passion, desires, and drive you away the things of God.
Your identity is found in a humble pursuit of trusting Jesus, by being used by Him to make a difference in people’s lives.
4 Principles from God’s word to FIND YOUR IDENTITY.
1. Don’t let circumstances of your life determine who you are, no matter what season you’re in.
1. Don’t let circumstances of your life determine who you are, no matter what season you’re in.
2. Drop your labels
3. Live a humble life, so God can work through you
By Trusting Jesus wholeheartedly and allow Him to use you, to change people’s lives.
What will God do through you when you find your identity?
Talk It Over
1. Brian said, “When it comes to seasons of life it sometimes feels like you’re either coming out of a tough season, in the middle of a tough season, or heading into a tough season.” If you had to pick, which of the three statements best represents you? Why did you pick that one? What struggle has been something that has caused you to stumble the most? How has it affected your life?
2. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 describes Paul’s attitude towards suffering, “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” What has been your strategy for dealing with defeat, weakness, failure, and suffering? If need be, what would it take to shift into the attitude Paul described above? If your strategy already lines up with Paul, what advice would you give to someone really struggling?
3. Brian posed the questions, “What will God do through you when you find your identity?” Dream for a minute. List 5-7 things that would be different in your life when you find your identity. What key ingredients do you need to add into your life for this to be a reality? Stop and pray for God to bring those into your life.
