LIVE THE WORD
John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing...
Mark 8:34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."
Dietrich Bonhoeffer - Costly Grace
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better -- it's not." The Lorax by Dr. Suess

PCC BENEDICTION
May you jump into the arms of Jesus.
And may He push you out into the world.
May you be healed as you participate in the healing of others.
Not because you must, but because you may.
This is why we were born!
May you jump into the arms of Jesus.
And may He push you out into the world.
May you be healed as you participate in the healing of others.
Not because you must, but because you may.
This is why we were born!
Beyond Sunday
The Book of Acts details the start of the early church. In this seven-week series, we will call ourselves to strive toward our six PCC values as we are inspired by those who did the same as they established the Church. And if we do so, both individually and corporately, we will experience freedom and become a part of His glorious movement in a needy world. This week we reflect on our value, Live the Word.
1. Consider your testimony. Who did God use to play a key role in moving you toward a life with Christ? How has God used you to play a similar role in someone else?
2. Our G4 strategy at PCC is to GATHER, GROW, GIVE, and GO. Which of the four G’s comes easiest for you? Which of the four is the most challenging Is it easier to invest in learning than it is to put that learning into practice?
3. John 14:12 says - Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing. Now read Acts 5:20. What did the angel of the Lord direct the apostles to do? Does this same directive apply to you and me? What are tangible ways we can participate in doing the works “we’ve seen” Jesus doing?
4. Jesus Himself is self-giving, meaning He gives Himself for our behalf. He also calls us to do what He does. Read Mark 8:34. What does it look like to follow as a disciple? How can we imitate Christ by being self-giving for those around us? Read Luke 9:24. How might we consider what it means to be self-giving in light of this verse?
6. This week, consider what it means for you to Live the Word. Where are you when it comes to participating in the mission of Jesus even when it will cost you something? In what ways are you taking what you’ve learned from Jesus so that those around you might be saved?
7. Have you talked with a pastor about how you can get involved in the work of Jesus through PCC?
