Renewal is defined as resuming an activity or state after an interruption, or extending the validity of something, or repairing or updating something in disrepair.

Four numbers that help frame Josiah’s impact as one of the great reformer kings as recorded in 2 Chronicles 34:

8 - the age that he ascended the throne. (v.1)
16 - the age Josiah begins to seek God (v.3)
20 - the age he begins removing all places or worship to idols. (v.3-7)
26 - the age Josiah begins to re-establish the priesthood and restore the Temple. (v.8-21)


The three R’s that lead to RENEWAL.

Rejoicing
1. Awareness of God’s delight and desire for you
2. God’s Word available and productive
3. Community from which to be renewed

Renewal starts not with feeling bad about ourselves but acknowledging how good God is.

Re-commit
1. Not a moment in time but a lifetime of moments is our commitment.
2. Personal important…Community is important

The community of faith needs you.

Refreshing
1. God’s has a plan...his name is Jesus.
2. God’s plan has a place for you...it's a kingdom actually.
3. God’s place brings purpose for you todays and tomorrows.
