THE PROBLEM
Because of our selfishness and uncertainty, we need the light of Christ
But with the light of Christ, there is love, joy, peace, hope, direction, purity, real purpose, truth, true identity, justice, grace, and forgiveness.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. Matthew 5: 14-16

BEYOND SUNDAY
Advent is a time to prepare our hearts and souls to celebrate the extraordinary birth of Jesus that has blessed the world. During our Advent series, Together We Sing, while integrating our year-long theme of Together We Are PCC, we will focus on key Scriptures and known songs of the season that point us toward our Savior, Christ, who brings us Hope, Peace, Love, Joy, Light, and Faith. This week, we reflect on our Christmas Eve message on light. [Note: there will be no Beyond Sunday for 12.26 or 1.2 messages]
Monday: Play and reflect on the song Silent Night.
Tuesday: Meditate on Jesus’ words in John 8:12. What truths are being revealed to you?
Wednesday: Reflect on the history of God and light: Genesis. 1:3, Psalm 119:105, Isaiah 49:6, Micah 7:8, Luke 1:78-79, Matthew 5:14-15, 1 John 1:5.
Thursday: How has the light of Christ led you out of the darkness of your selfishness and uncertainty? How might He now?
Friday: Who is God calling you to be a light in the world around you?
Saturday: Pray for others you desire to come to know the light of Christ.
