We don’t have a proximity problem! We have a value problem!
3. Read & Believed God’s Word
EVERYONE SEES GOD’S PRESENCE, BUT VERY FEW RECOGNIZE IT!
God isn’t hiding from us. We are hiding from God and he is pursuing us.
Talk It Over
1. Pastor Sean said, “Everyone sees God's presence, but very few recognize it.” The wise men recognized “Jesus’ star” as it rose in the night sky for the first time. If you were alive during that time in history, would you have recognized “Jesus’ Star?” Why or why not? How would you describe God’s presence in your life today?
2. Pastor Sean said, being in God’s presence “is not a proximity problem, it’s a value problem.” For those of you who are extremely close to God, describe the value of Jesus. What things have you laid at his feet to honor and worship Him? If you aren’t very close to God, what value of God might you be underestimating?
3. The wise men most likely traveled 1,000 miles, gave up homes and relationships, just to be in the presence of Jesus. If you were to take 1 or 2 steps to get closer to Jesus this week what would they look like? Rate how prepared your eyes are to see spiritual things because you are in God’s word and believe it? What plan can you put in place to get into God’s word more?
