PRE-SERVICE | PROMISES
God of Abraham
You're the God of covenant, of faithful promises
Time and time again You have proven
You do just what You say
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow
I'll remain steadfast and let my heart learn when You speak a word
It will come to pass
Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness to me
God from age to age
Though the earth may pass away, Your word remains the same
Your history can prove there's nothing You can't do
You're faithful and true
Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness to me
From the rising sun to the setting same,
I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me
I put my faith in Jesus, my anchor to the ground
My hope and firm foundation — He'll never let me down

JOYFUL NOISE
Come on, everybody looking for the way
Come on, everybody looking for the way
Kingdom is a-coming and no one is forgotten
We're crying out in Jesus' name
People, come together, I know there's a way
This is the start, we're singing a brand new song
Lift up your heart, worship the Lord our God
He is the champion of heaven, healer of the broken
Stand up, rejoice, make a joyful noise
If you know His voice, make a joyful noise
Jesus overcoming all the distance we made
Jesus overcoming all the distance we made
Fill us with Your kindness, lead us to repentance
For such a time as this we pray
People, come together, I know there's a way
[ CHORUS ]
Love is a battleground, I'm laying my weapons down
My hands up to heaven now, make a joyful noise
My heart had to hit the floor to find all I'm longing for
But I know there's so much more than a joyful noise
Love is a battleground, I'm laying my weapons down
My hands up to heaven now, make a joyful noise
My heart had to hit the floor to find all I'm longing for
‘Cause I know You’re so much more
[ CHORUS ]
Make a joyful noise
Come on, everybody looking for the way
Kingdom is a-coming and no one is forgotten
We're crying out in Jesus' name

HOUSE OF THE LORD
We worship the God who was
We worship the God who is
We worship the God who evermore will be
He opened the prison doors
He parted the raging sea
My God — He holds the victory
There’s joy in the house of the Lord
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today
And we won’t be quiet, we shout out Your praise
There’s joy in the house of the Lord
Our God is surely in this place
And we won’t be quiet, we shout out Your praise
We shout out Your praise
We sing to the God who heals
We sing to the God who saves
We sing to the God who always makes a way
'Cause He hung up on that cross
Then He rose up from that grave
My God’s still rolling stones away
[ CHORUS ]
We were the beggars, now we’re royalty
We were the prisoners, now we’re running free
We are forgiven, accepted, redeemed by His grace
Let the house of the Lord sing praise
[ x2 ]
[ CHORUS x2 ]
We shout out Your praise
We shout out Your praise

SEE A VICTORY
The weapon may be formed but it won't prosper
When the darkness falls it won't prevail
'Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph
My God will never fail, my God will never fail
I'm gonna see a victory
I'm gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to You, Lord
[ x2 ]
There's power in the mighty Name of Jesus
Every war He wages He will win
I'm not backing down from any giant
I know how this story ends
I know how this story ends
[ CHORUS x4 ]
You take what the enemy meant for evil
And You turn it for good, You turn it for good
[ x4 ]
[ CHORUS x4 ]
You take what the enemy meant for evil
And You turn it for good, You turn it for good

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
Great is Thy faithfulness, Oh God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be
Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning, new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Summer and winter, springtime and harvest
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love
[ CHORUS ]
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine with ten thousand beside
[ CHORUS ]
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be
Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness

MESSAGE: Watching in Light of the Return of the Lord — Part 8
Pastor Wally Webster | 1st Thessalonians 5:9
Introduction | A Complete View of God
1. We must understand God in His fullness, not our preferences.
2. There is so much Scripture on the wrath of God — 36 specific passages, plus many more that describe it without using that term.
3. God is immutable and never changing.
4. God is to be feared.
The Earthly Wrath of God...
» As seen in the Old Testament.
» As seen in governments executing God's wrath.
» As seen in how we possibly interfere with it.
» As seen in how it can be passive, not active.

The Earthly Wrath of God...

» As seen in how it can be passive, not active.
Revelation teaches there is a wrath to come.
Revelation 6:12–17; 11:18; 14:10, 19: 15:1, 7; 16:1, 19; 19:15
The doctrine of Hell teaches there is a wrath to come.
· Hell was never intended for mankind. Matthew 25:41, 2nd Peter 2:4; Jude 6
· Hell is forever. Matthew 3:12; 25:41; Daniel 12:2
· Hell has degrees. Matthew 11:24; Revelation 20:12
· Jesus warned often about Hell.
· Hell is a place of fire. Mark 9:43–44; Revelation 20:15
· Hell is a place of darkness. Matthew 8:12; Jude 13
· Hell is a place of sleeplessness. Revelation 14:11
· Hell is a place of chains. Matthew 13:30; Jude 6
· Hell is a place of stench. Revelation 14:10; 19:20; 20:10; 21:8
· Hell is a place of hopelessness.
But it does not have to be that way for you. God is a God of wrath, but He is also a God of grace, mercy, love and forgiveness. His arms are open wide to welcome you and receive you unto Himself. He has no delight in Hell for anyone, but His justice and holiness demand a Hell for eternity. If there was a way with His character not to have Hell, there would not be one, but His full being demands it just like it demands Him to love.
The One who spoke the most on Hell is also the One who is ready to give you salvation and keep you out of Hell. But we are sinners, and God will not allow sin into Heaven. He cannot welcome us into Heaven in this sinful condition which we all have. Something has to take away our sin and cover our sin, and nothing but the blood of Jesus can do that.
This is what He did on the cross — He gave His life as a payment for our sin, and He offers us the free gift of salvation. How do we receive it? You have to recognize that you are a sinner, ask His forgiveness for your sin (repent), and ask Him to save you, come into your life, and take over.
