Inquire, Pursue, Overtake & Recover All.
What do you do when you’re going along in life. All is well. You are blessed, your family is healthy, and your job/career is prospering. Then suddenly, the bottom drops out?
Maybe your spouse tells you they want a divorce, or you find out one of your children is very sick, or maybe your company is laying you off.
What do you do when the road you’re on takes an unexpected turn and you find yourself in a place you never thought you’d be in, facing a situation you’re not prepared – in the natural – to deal with?
Well, that is exactly what happened to David.

B. Inquire of God. Find out His will for your situation.
Inquiring of God means seeking God’s will in prayer. We see this in our passage with Abiathar and the ephod.
Today we have someone far more superior than Abiathar, we have Jesus as our High Priest.
1. We need Gods wisdom for our situation.
2. When God answers our prayer with a promise, it’s to strengthen our faith.
3. Knowing Gods will gives you confidence.
C. Pursue. Act on God’s word in faith.
After God instructs us, we must act on God’s word in faith.
1. You may experience a setback as you act on Gods word (verses 9-10)
2. Keep doing what He told you to do.
Isaiah 1:19 (TPT) [19] If you have a willing heart to let me help you, and if you will obey me, you will feast on the blessings of an abundant harvest.
3. Interruptions may be divine opportunities as you go.
We see other examples in Scripture of what look like interruptions really being divine opportunities from God.
The priest and the Levite were too busy to stop and help, but the Samaritan was obviously sensitive to God and saw the interruption as an opportunity to minister to the poor man’s need. Sometimes God doesn’t use the people we think He’s going to use.
Give Online
Luke 6:38 TPT:Give generously and generous gifts will be given back to you, shaken down to make room for more. Abundant gifts will pour out upon you with such an overflowing measure that it will run over the top! The measurement of your generosity becomes the measurement of your return.”
