Settled - to appoint, fix, or resolve definitely and conclusively; a desired state or in order: to settle one's affairs; to pay, as a bill.

to close (an account) by payment.

One of the paramount questions believers ask today is not whether God is able to heal, but whether He is willing to heal. Is it always God's will to heal? This is a settled issue with God.

When we want to understand God's will about a subject, we go to God's Word. God's Word is God's will. And the Bible tells us that healing is the will of God.

Psalms 119:89

Luke 21:33

Healing is a forever-settled subject because God's Word is forever settled!
Let’s look at how are healing is forever settled:

1. God Took Care of Sin and Sickness.

*Most of us understand that God dealt with the sin problem of humanity by sending His Son Jesus to be a Sacrifice and a Substitute for us.

*So we know that God dealt with the sin problem in Christ's great substitutionary work.

The following scriptures also state that God dealt with sickness and disease for us in the same act of redemption.

Isaiah 53:4-5

Griefs - khol-ee'
From H2470; malady, anxiety, calamity: - disease, grief, (is) sick (-ness).

Sorrows - mak-obe', mak-obe', mak-o-baw'
From H3510; anguish or (figuratively) affliction: - grief, pain, sorrow.

Healed - râphâ' râphâh
raw-faw', raw-faw'

A primitive root; properly to mend (by stitching), that is, (figuratively) to cure: - cure, (cause to) heal, physician, repair, X thoroughly, make whole. See H7503.

I Peter 2:24

Healed - iaomai
ee-ah'-om-ahee
to cure (literally or figuratively): - heal, make whole.
2. Let's Look At a Complementary Text in Matthew.

*By healing the sick in His earthly ministry, Jesus was fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy ("with his stripes we are healed") before He ever went to the cross and legally obtained redemption for us.

Matthew 8:16-17

3. He Healed ALL of Our Diseases.
*Looking at the Psalms, we again see that healing is one of the benefits of our redemption.

Iniquities - ‛âvôn ‛âvôn
aw-vone', aw-vone'
From H5753; perversity, that is, (moral) evil: - fault, iniquity, mischief, punishment (of iniquity), sin.

Diseases- tachălû' tachălû'
takh-al-oo', takh-al-oo'
From H2456; a malady: - disease, X grievous, (that are) sick (-ness).

Psalms 103:2-3

*Notice verse 3 says the Lord heals all of our diseases . . . not just a few, and not just our minor ailments. The word "all" means nothing left out.

Nothing is left out of the redemptive work of Christ: not a headache, not a stomachache, not any kind of cancer, nor any kind of heart trouble, not even COVID-19 and all it’s variants.

In God's plan of redemption, every sickness and disease has been dealt with and settled!
4. Jesus Came to Settle Our Healing Once and For ALL.
John 4:34 NKJV
John 6:38 NKJV

John 4:34

John 6:38

*Now, think about Jesus, who consummated our redemption in His death, burial, and resurrection? Jesus came to the earth to do the will of the Father. As Jesus walked this earth and fulfilled His earthly ministry, He was the will of God in action!

Luke 5:12-13

5. Jesus is Willing….You are The Healed!
*Most Christians today don't have a problem seeing Jesus in His earthly ministry as the Healer. They don't question that He was anointed by God and that He had the power to heal sickness and disease. Most Christians don't even question Jesus' ability to heal people today as they do His willingness to demonstrate that healing power on their behalf.
Acts 10:38 TPT

Acts 10:38

*Any question about Jesus' willingness to heal is answered very vividly in this account of the leper in Luke chapter 5. And since Jesus hasn't changed and He was willing to heal then, He is willing to heal now. He's willing to SETTLE the healing question for you today!

Hebrews 13:8

We need to have faith not only in Jesus' power and ability to heal, but also in His willingness and compassion to heal.
We should no longer question whether or not Jesus wants us healed, because He provided healing for us in His great act of redemption. And He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He hasn't changed!

He is still saying today, "I will!" This is NO LONGER up for debate, IT IS SETTLED!
