Get Connected
We want you to be connected with others at the River! Whether it's doing things with people who have similar interests, joining a Bible study or community group, or serving. Contact our Director of Connections and Small Groups at leslie@hittheriver.com and she'll make it happen!
New Community Group for First Service
We are excited to offer a new Community Group during the 9:45 service each week. Mike Dodd is leading this group and all are welcome! Anyone wanting to attend please email leslie@hittheriver.com and she will get you signed up.
Pastor Appreciation
October is the time of year where we, as a church family, make a special effort to overwhelm our Pastors and Leadership Staff by encouraging their spirit, igniting their faith, appreciating, loving and lifting them up in prayer.
Write personal notes of appreciation and encouragement. Cards will be collected in a box located on the credenza outside the worship center. We will present our Leaders with your cards on October 31. You can also email a note into info@hittheriver.com Please consider writing a note to some or all of the following leaders:
Brad Mitchell - Lead Pastor, Zach Hibbard - Youth Pastor, Mystique Smith - Director of Worship, Taylor Starr - Director of Children’s Ministry, Leslie Stone - Director of Connections & Small Groups
Operation Christmas Child
We are thrilled to once again participate in Operation Christmas Child - a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. Each year, thousands of children receive Christmas gifts and the hope of Jesus through OCC and you get to help make this happen! Simply visit the display table in the cafe, pick up as many shoeboxes as you would like, a gift guide, and get to stuffing! The River's Missions Team is generously covering the $9 shipping charge for each box, so all you need to do is shop and pack! All boxes must be returned to the church by November 7. Contact Taylor at taylor@hittheriver.com with any questions.
Fall Festival
You are invited to The River Church's Fall Festival on October 30 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Join us for an afternoon of fun for all ages with Trunk or Treat, bounce houses, outdoor games, food, and more!

Cultivating Prayer
Please join us in this prayer. “Heavenly Father, thank You for everyone
who volunteers to be an usher or greeter at The River Church. They are Your face at our doors! Fill them with hospitality and grace as they meet people each week. Give them words of comfort and welcome, and the ability to know which words each person needs to hear. Call more people to be ushers and greeters as needed.” To serve in this ministry, write info@hittheriver.com.
Worship/Media/Tech Team Fall Family Picnic
Today, after second service we will have our team fall picnic at the Owl Pavilion at Keehner Park in West Chester, Ohio. Bring your family and a side dish to share. Meat and drinks are provided. We will spend some time in fellowship and “campfire style” worship.
Riverbank Kids Program Opening for Second Service
We are looking forward to beginning a modified RiverBank Kids program during the second worship service on Sunday mornings. Starting today, kindergarten-5th grade children are invited to join the RiverBank Kids team at 11:15 a.m. each Sunday for a Bible lesson, craft, games, and activities. As we begin reopening children's ministry during the second hour, please consider volunteering and joining the RiverBank Kids team. Contact Taylor at taylor@hittheriver.com if you are interested in serving in this fun ministry!
Youth Fall Retreat
This year we are bringing back our fall retreat from November 12th-14th at the River Church. The theme for the weekend is Fearless and we will be covering stories from the book of Daniel. Our prayer is that students will leave the weekend challenged to be strongly confident in their Heavenly Father no matter what life may throw their way. The cost is $30 per student which covers activities, dinner on Saturday, and a retreat shirt. Sign up today at HitTheRiver.com/events.
River Youth Food Olympics in October
During each Sunday in the month of October, The River Youth will be doing a competition called the Food Olympics. Starting today October 3rd, we will be dividing students into teams that will be doing different food based games each week. We are so excited for this and we believe it is a great way to get students to invite their friends to Youth Group during October. We hope your student will be joining us! Contact Zach@HitTheRiver.com if you have any questions.
