Conversation Starter
Who inspires you to be a better person?
Begin your study with prayer
Pause for a few minutes to quiet your heart and mind. Then ask God for insight and direction as you study and reflect on this week’s lesson.
Bible Study and Group Discussion
Read 2 Corinthians 6:3-7:1.
1. How does this passage describe Paul as he endured troubles and hardships?
2. Have you ever seen those traits in yourself?
3. Do you think other people see those traits in you? Give examples.
4. Describe a time you felt embarrassed about how you handled a difficult situation. How do you wish you would have responded?
5. Why is it important to be honest about our struggles when sharing the Gospel?
6. Have you ever felt God empower you to handle a situation better than you would have on your own?
7. Describe a situation you knew for sure God’s Spirit was present? Explain.
8. How did the Corinthians respond to Paul’s love?
9. Paul served others whether they honored him or not. Is there someone God is calling you to love even though you’ve felt like giving up on them? How could you bless them?
10. What warnings do you see in this passage, and how can heeding them help you grow in purity?
11. Paul urges the Corinthians not to partner with unbelievers. Why?
12. What are practical ways to carry out the commands in 2 Corinthians 7:1?
13. What do you find most inspiring or challenging from this week’s lesson?
Spiritual Practice
A spiritual practice is like training for the soul. If you build these into your everyday life, you’re sure to strengthen your relationship with God.

As you study and reflect on this week’s lesson, make a list of Godly character traits you see in Paul. Then, each day this week, select one of those traits and ask God to develop that in you.
Memory Verse
Because we have these promises dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. 2 Corinthians 7:1 (NLT)

Prepare for Next Sunday
