Introduction

It is a given that times will change. We all experience changing seasons (Eccl. 3:1) However, the one constant in this life is the steadfast nature of God.Malachi 3:6 (NKJV) "For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

There are four ways we can respond to change – We can complain (fuss about what’s going on, while doing nothing), we can compete (fight what’s going on and cause frustration), we can even become complacent (do nothing and fall behind. But if you’re going to live an extraordinary life you must comprehend the times while still complying with the principles of God's word. You can also collaborate with others for success.
The Hand of the Lord

God is Spirit, and as such does not have physical hands. When the Bible refers to God’s “hand” it is symbolic of a powerful move of God – a moment in time when God’s power is evident in the affairs of His people.

The Bible has a lot to say about God’s hand. The Bible often talks about the Hand of the Lord. In the KJV, the phrase "hand of the Lord" is found 39 times, with 36 times in the Old Testament, and 3 in the New Testament. The phrase "Hand of God" is found 16 times in the Bible, 7 times in the Old Testament and 9 times in the New Testament. From this we learn several things, here’s a few:
The Hand of the Lord is Mighty
The Hand of the Lord Empowers
The Hand of the Lord will Help His People
Time and time again we see God’s unchanging hand at work in the lives of His people. God is not a respecter of persons, but of faith. Faith is a requirement of seeing God’s hand at work in your life.
How can we have the hand of the Lord with us?

Pray - Ask God for His hand to be on your life

1 Chronicles 4:9 (NIV) Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” [10] Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Humble Yourself

1 Peter 5:6 (NIV) Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Hold On (Endure Trials and the Chastening of the Lord)

This includes sticking to the principles of God's word.

John 10:27-30 (NIV) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. [28] I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. [29] My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. [30] I and the Father are one.”
In Conclusion...

In the midst of this rapidly-changing world the nature of God is the one constant. Believers can always trust in God, Who has the power to help them in any situation.

Look back over your life. Can you see the hand of God at work?
