“Road Trip”
Road Trips require PREPARATION!
It’s a DIVERSE church!
It’s Holy Spirit DEPENDENT church!
God is looking for imperfect men and women who have learned to walk
in moment-by-moment dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Charles Stanley
in moment-by-moment dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Charles Stanley
It’s a SENDING church!
Road Trips include CHALLENGES!
Road Trips are BETTER with maps!
The heritage you have been given is not as important as the legacy you leave!
Road Trips have mixed EXPERIENCES!
First, there were MIRACULOUS signs and wonders!
Second, there was DIVISION!
Jesus declared…
Jesus declared…
Third, there was MISUNDERSTANDING!
Fourth, there was RELIEF!
Road Trips deserve REFLECTION!
As God works IN you and THROUGH
you, let somebody know!
you, let somebody know!
1st, they were influenced by the WORD of God!
2nd, they WORSHIPPED together!
3rd, they FASTED!
4th, they PRAYED!
5th, they received the DIRECTION of the Lord!
"...the Holy Spirit said..."
I know God has a plan. I pray for direction to follow it;
patience to wait on it; and knowledge to know when it comes.

DISCUSS & REFLECT
Big Idea
Jesus declared, “I will build my church…” and for 21 centuries He has made good on that promise. No matter the location, the season, or the obstacles, Jesus has built His church and it is truly “Unstoppable.” Our series in Acts continues to explore the unstoppable nature of the church. Today, “Road Trip.”
Discussion Questions
Review the scriptures, the main points, watch or listen online to the message from this past weekend. What is the most significant point for you? Why?
Have a little fun and talk about the Road Trips you have enjoyed over the years. What made them special? What challenges did you face? Which one was the most memorable? Why?
Paul and Barnabas Road Trip is a missionary enterprise. What in your opinion is the significance of this missionary journey? (Read Acts 1:8)
Of the experiences that Paul and Barnabas experience, which one is the most significant to you? Why?
Next Steps
As Pastor Gary stated, there are 472 million bits of information regarding knowing the will/direction of God for your life that you can access. While true, the most important four things were mentioned in the message. Influenced by God’s word, worship in community, fasting, and prayer. Set aside an extra few minutes’ reading God’s word; fast a meal and pray for God to reveal His will. He will.
Prayer Focus
God’s will may seem illusive. Yet, His direction for your life can be discovered. Pray right now for God to reveal His will in your life and be specific. Remember, “Ask and it will given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7,8)
