Cultivating Prayer
Please join us in this prayer - “Lord, I lift up Christian men everywhere, but especially here at The River Church, and pray that Your Spirit of grace and truth may rest and remain on each one. I pray that Christian men may grow in grace and in a knowledge of Christ Jesus their Lord, and that they become strong in the Lord and in His mighty strength, and not rely on their own abilities but rest in Him alone.”
River Youth: 6-8th Grade Upcoming Bible Studies
Girls- 6th - 8th grade girls are invited to join us for a study on Girl Power in the Bible! This 10 week study will start on 9/12 and end mid-December. God mentioned many women in the bible, who played an important role in both the New and Old Testament. We will be talking about these women, discussing their roles, actions and what we can learn from their stories. We will meet in the Youth room during the 9:45 a.m. service. There are no required materials that need to be purchased in advance. Please contact Brittany McGaffin to sign your tween up for the study at brittany.mcgaffin@gmail.com.
Guys- 6th-8th grade will be doing a study in the 9:45 a.m. service in Zach’s office downstairs through the book of Ephesians. This powerful letter from Paul not only serves as a guide on how to live life in a crazy world but also how to live for Christ in powerful ways. We will be kicking off this study on 9/12 through December. If you have any questions or want your student to participate, please contact Zac by emailing zach@hittheriver.com.

“The power of prayer has never been fully tried in any church. If we want to see the mighty wonders of divine grace and power, instead of weakness, failure, and disappointment, the whole church must accept God’s standing challenge, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

If there are any tears shed in heaven, they will be over the fact that we prayed so little. Heaven is full of answers to prayer for which no one ever bothered to ask!
