God is using your afflictions, your pain, your difficulties, your hardships, not to break you, but to build you to refine you.
When your character supports the weight of your calling heads on earth and Heaven turn to see the spectacle of God.
It’s often not what we think of others, it's often what others think of us that stops us from standing up.
Today, in a world that’s sitting down, what are you standing up for? Maybe the question is better said “who are you standing up for?”
Talk it over.
1. Sean said, “God is using your affliction to refine your - to prepare you.” What affliction has God used to prepare you the most? What do you think He has prepared you for?
2. 1 Samuel 16:7 says “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”” What preconceived thoughts or attitudes did you grow up with about people of different skin color? What are 3-4 best practices to help you look at someone’s heart?
