by Pastor Scott Anderson
A few weeks ago, we celebrated the birthday of the church: the day of Pentecost. Pentecost Sunday was not the climactic ending; it was a glorious beginning for the church! Today around the world, people are celebrating Father's Day. If there has ever been a time when the world needed fathers who are devoted to raising their children and leading their families, it's now. In this message, we're going to look at characteristics that the men of the early church had to help us answer the question, "What does it take to be a Godly father?" If fathers around the world would pattern themselves after the men of the early church, we would see God do things we never dreamed or imagined!

Discussion Questions:
1. As you look inward, which characteristic is the hardest for you to master and walk-in? (authenticity, empowerment, boldness) Why do you think you struggle in that area?
2. Pastor Scott said we need some bold men to rise in the world today. What can you do to help this happen?
3. As you think back over your childhood, what were some of the characteristics that your father, stepfather, or guardian had that made a difference in your life? If you are a parent, do you embody those?
