PRAISE TO THE LORD, THE ALMIGHTY

[Verse 1]
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, Now to His temple draw near;
Praise Him in glad adoration!

[Verse 2]
Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e’er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?

[Verse 3]
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do
If with His love He befriend thee.

[Verse 4]
Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.
Let the Amen sound from His people again;
Gladly for aye we adore Him!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

[Verse 1]
To God be the glory, great things He hath done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

[Chorus]
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus, the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done!

[Verse 2]
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

[Verse 3]
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our vict’ry, when Jesus we see.

[Chorus]
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus, the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done!

GREAT THINGS

[Verse 1]
Come, let us worship our King.
Come, let us bow at His feet.
He has done great things.
See what our Savior has done.
See how His love overcomes.
He has done great things. He has done great things.

[Chorus]
O Hero of heaven, You conquered the grave.
You free ev’ry captive and break ev’ry chain.
O God, You have done great things.
We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive.
O Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high.
O God, You have done great things.

[Verse 2]
You have been faithful through ev’ry storm.
You’ll be faithful forevermore.
You have done great things.
And I know You will do it again,
For Your promise is “Yes and Amen.”
You will do great things. God, You do great things.

[Chorus]
O Hero of heaven, You conquered the grave.
You free ev’ry captive and break ev’ry chain.
O God, You have done great things.
We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive.
O Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high.
O God, You have done great things.

[Bridge]
Hallelujah, God above it all.
Hallelujah, God unshakable.
Hallelujah, You have done great things!
Hallelujah, God above it all.
Hallelujah, God unshakable.
Hallelujah, You have done great things! You’ve done great things.

[Chorus]
O Hero of heaven, You conquered the grave.
You free ev’ry captive and break ev’ry chain.
O God, You have done great things.
We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive.
O Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high.
O God, You have done great things.
You have done great things.
O God, You do great things.

JESUS MESSIAH

[Verse ]
He became sin who knew no sin,
That we might become His righteousness.
He humbled Himself and carried the cross;
Love so amazing, love so amazing.

[Chorus]
Jesus, Messiah, name above all names,
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel.
The rescue for sinners, the ransom from heaven,
Jesus, Messiah, Lord of all.

[Verse 2]
His body, the bread, His blood, the wine,
Broken and poured out all for love.
The whole earth trembled and the veil was torn,
Love so amazing, love so amazing.

[Chorus]
Jesus, Messiah, name above all names,
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel.
The rescue for sinners, the ransom from heaven,
Jesus, Messiah, Lord of all.

[Bridge]
All our hope is in You, All our hope is in You.
All the glory to You, God, the Light of the world

[Chorus]
Jesus, Messiah, name above all names,
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel.
The rescue for sinners, the ransom from heaven,
Jesus, Messiah, Lord of all.

Jesus, Messiah, Lord of all, The Lord of all.

SABBATH: Not Just a Jewish Thing
Why did God institute the Sabbath?
I don’t want to presume that I understand what God was thinking, but I believe that His thoughts are somewhat apparent from the context. Every time He completed an aspect of creation, the Bible says that “God saw that it was good.”
If God saw that it was good, that means He was delighted. God set aside an entire day at the end of creation to bask in delight of all that He had done. God is commanding us to set aside one day every week for the same general purpose—bask in delight for all God has done.
What did Sabbath become for the Jews?
How did Jesus change the perception of Sabbath?
How then should we celebrate the Sabbath?
To celebrate the Sabbath, we must:
- begin by remembering the purpose for the Sabbath celebration.
- plan our Sabbath to be filled with joy and delight in the Lord.
- choose to separate ourselves from the everyday/mundane.
- choose a time for Sabbath that works best for you.
- experience Sabbath rest, not a vacation from life and work.

CONCLUSION

TAKE MY LIFE (AND LET IT BE CONSECRATED)

[Verse 1]
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

[Chorus]
Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Ev’ry power as You choose.

[Verse 3]
Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine;
Take my heart, it is Thine own,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Your feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.
