Pray
Prayer is talking to God about anything, anywhere, anytime
Worship as prayer
Praise as prayer
Consider “fervent” prayer
Luke 22:44 And being in agony he was praying very fervently; and his sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.
The Issue
The pain/suffering of the cross
Acts 12:5 So Peter was kept in the prison, but prayer for him was being made fervently by the church to God.
The Issue
Peter’s state of mind
Col. 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
The Issue
The health of the church
James 5:16 The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
James 5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.
The Issue
Praying for the sick, the troubled, those who suffer
Is fervent prayer needed today?
Divisive Politics
The Pandemic
Personal Problems
