Choose Joy – The Great Kenosis

Philippians 2:1-11

Choose joy right now!

“If”

“there is” “Therefore if there is” “So then” “in view of the fact”

These four conditions are true in Christ’s church today:
#1 There is “________ from being united with Christ!”
#2 There is “________ from his love!

#3 There is “________ with the Spirit!”
#4 There is “____________ and compassion”

Not “if” but ______ and every time you give these gifts away – it makes “joy” run wild!

Something good is about to happen- here’s how- three ways:
#1 “_____ the same thing” as each other

#3 “being _____ in spirit and purpose”

And there were factions in the church at Philippi- V.3 caused by “selfish ambition or vain conceit”- empty _____ and differing ________.

So, how does it happen? How do we all chose joy? It all starts by having the same basic attitude:

This is a powerful picture of what is called the _______ of Jesus. Bible scholars call this the “_______” passage- the word in Greek translated, “to empty”.

The Holy Spirit through Paul is asking us all to do something similar to what Jesus did- to “______” our rights.
